Man kan koka v\u00e4xten som gr\u00f6nsak och l\u00e4gga dem bland andra gr\u00f6nsaker i soppan eller tillaga plantan likt spenat eller som omelett. Blommorna anv\u00e4nds fr\u00e5n april till oktober i desserter, i f\u00e4rgrika sallader och kryddsm\u00f6r som sedan rullas i blomblad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dessert&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exempel p\u00e5 desserter \u00e4r blomkr\u00e4m, s\u00f6ta s\u00e5ser, pudding, kanderad plister, kompott, plister med choklad och som sorbet. Eller i en smoothies med frukt, kryddor och honung som vitaldryck. De unga r\u00f6tterna som smakar Karl-Johan svamp l\u00e4ggs r\u00e5a i salladen, sm\u00e5tt skurna i gr\u00f6nsakssoppan, i peston eller rostade som kaffesurrogat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fr\u00f6er och groddar&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fr\u00e5n maj till september hittar man fr\u00f6n som efter att ha torkat en vinter kan s\u00e5s inomhus om man vill ha f\u00e4rska groddar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Detta g\u00e4ller \u00e4ven f\u00f6r vitplister med b\u00f6rjan i mars.
