Intense and cool spring

Carl Schlyter was here to talk about the circular economy on Saturday. We are planning to invite economist Christian Felber to Stockholm in November. He has developed a new model, The Economy of the Common Good, and a new banking system. Christian’s first book in English is launching in the summer. You can meet him here.

There were two courses in straw bale house building one after another, with many discussions around Swedish and European energy performance. So now the straw bale house that is being built at Ecotopia is also a Swedish energy-plus house. Right now we are working on the roof. We’re building the structure filled with straw bales and sealing with environmentally-friendly waterproofing from Isocell (language options: menu bar).

The participants in Permaculture in practice, and Traditional and environmentally-friendly painting are active and braving the cold spring. In the picture you see how a group produces slamfärg (wood stain). Community production is under way in Skane Tranas. Here the chestnut trees are blooming, the salad looks good in the little greenhouse and the orache out in the open. Cooked rhubarb jam with lemon slices yesterday. And yes, doesn’t it feel like spring has come to stay? A growing period at a slow-motion tempo. You can follow it step by step. Good for the conscious presence. According to the headlines, it’s going to be a wonderful summer 🙂 and certainly we all firmly believe in Aftonbladet’s weather forecast. 😉
